Mind the Gap
A location in the public space takes a new shape, from being a space with movement and circulation to becoming something else. Before the new space exists, a gap emerges, a gap that takes the shape of a construction site.
For my degree project, I have gone into the spatial gap below Slussen. What happens in the location during construction? How do we relate to the temporary space? What is actually going on in this interspace, in both aspects of time and space, during the construction?
I want to see, through my own archaeological excavations, what I can find in these spatial gaps and cavities.

En plats i det offentliga rummet formas om, från ett rum med rörelse och cirkulation till att bli något annat. Innan det nya rummet existerar så uppstår ett mellanrum, ett mellanrum som tar form i en byggarbetsplats.
I mitt arbete så har jag gått in i tomrummet under Slussen. Vad händer på platsen under byggnationen, hur förhåller vi oss till den tillfälliga platsen? Vad sker i ett mellanrum, i tid och form, på en plats under byggnationen?
Jag vill genom min egna arkeologiska utgrävning se vad jag kan finna och skapa av platsens mellanrum och håligheter.
